Rahma (“Rahma”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect when you use the Rahma mobile application, website, widgets, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), how we use that information, and the choices available to you.
By using Rahma, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Rahma may collect information that you provide directly to us, information generated through your use of the Service, and limited technical information required to operate the application.
When you create an account, we may collect information such as your name, email address, authentication information, profile preferences, language, and account settings.
Rahma may also store information related to your use of Islamic content and application features, including reading progress, last-read Surah and verse, bookmarks, saved Hadiths, saved Tafsir sections, saved Duas, memorization progress, goals, streaks, reading history, preferences, and notification settings.
2. Location Information
Some Rahma features require location information.
For example, your location may be used to calculate prayer times, determine the Qibla direction, display local Islamic calendar information, and provide location-based worship information.
Depending on your device settings, Rahma may use approximate or precise location information.
Location access is controlled by your device permissions. You can disable location access at any time from your device settings, although certain features may no longer function correctly.
Rahma does not use your location for advertising purposes.
3. Prayer Times and Qibla
Prayer times and Qibla calculations may depend on your location, calculation method, device sensors, compass accuracy, time zone, and third-party calculation data.
Rahma attempts to provide accurate information; however, users should verify prayer times and Qibla direction with trusted local sources where necessary.
4. Notifications
If you enable notifications, Rahma may send reminders relating to prayer times, Quran reading, memorization, Duas, Islamic dates, streaks, goals, or other features you choose to enable.
Notification permissions can be managed through the application or your device settings.
5. Device and Technical Information
We may automatically collect limited technical information necessary to maintain and improve the Service.
This may include device type, operating system version, application version, language, crash reports, diagnostics, performance data, session information, and anonymous usage information.
We may use this information to identify technical problems, improve application performance, protect the Service, and understand how Rahma features are used.
6. Purchases and Subscriptions
Rahma may offer paid subscriptions, including individual monthly plans, individual yearly plans, Family Plans, and free trial periods.
Purchases are generally processed by third-party application stores such as Apple App Store or Google Play.
Rahma does not directly receive or store your full payment card information.
Payment processing, billing information, refunds, and payment security are handled by the applicable application store and are subject to its privacy policy and terms.
We may receive limited purchase information such as subscription status, product identifier, purchase date, renewal status, transaction identifier, and expiration date.
7. Free Trials
Rahma may offer a limited free trial for certain subscription plans.
Information regarding trial eligibility and subscription status may be processed to prevent repeated or unauthorized trial use and to provide access to premium features.
8. Family Plan
If you use a Family Plan, Rahma may process information necessary to manage family membership, invitations, subscription eligibility, and access to premium features.
Each family member may maintain their own account, preferences, bookmarks, reading progress, and memorization information.
Family members are not automatically given access to each other's private reading or account data unless Rahma explicitly provides such a sharing feature and the user chooses to enable it.
9. Islamic Content and Personal Activity
Rahma may store information about how you interact with Islamic content.
This may include Surahs read, verses bookmarked, memorization progress, reading goals, Hadith bookmarks, Tafsir progress, Duas saved, streaks, and similar activity.
This information is used only to provide personalization, synchronization, progress tracking, and related Rahma features.
We do not use information about your religious reading activity for targeted advertising.
10. Microphone and Audio
If Rahma introduces or provides voice search, Quran recitation, audio recording, pronunciation, or memorization-related voice features, microphone access will only be requested when required for that feature.
Rahma will not access your microphone without the permissions required by your operating system.
Where voice features are provided, the application will explain whether audio is processed locally on your device or transmitted to a service provider for processing.

If Rahma does not contain advertising, no information is processed for behavioral advertising through Rahma.
If advertising is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated and any required consent mechanisms will be provided.
